What is SSC CGL Exam and What Jobs it offers?
Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam is conducted by The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for recruitment to various subordinate services for the candidates holding graduation degree. The job designations includes the Inspectors (in CBEC, CBDT, etc.), Assistant Audit Officers, Assistants (in various departments like MEA, DEDR, etc.), Sub Inspectors, etc.

SSC CGL Recruitment Process: It is held in 4 tiers or stages (fourth stage is only for the candidates whose desired job profile demands this stage). First two are online, while the former 2 are offline (pen and paper exams).
There is no sectional cut-off. The candidate can switch between the questions of any sections anytime. There are 4 sections, but basically it is like 100 questions which have to be attempted on 1 hour. 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt.

General Tips for SSC CGL:
No sectional time limits. This lets you allocate your time according to your strength and weakness.
Familiarize yourself with the whole pattern of this exam and then try to solve previous year’s papers and mock tests.
Maths and English play a major role in clearing this exam.
